Unitec’s Lefaoalii Dion Enari Awarded Honorary Associate Professorship

Congratulations

to Associate Professor Lefaoalii Dion Enari, who received an Honorary Associate Professor title from the University of Queensland this week for services to the state’s Māori and Pacific communities.

Dr Enari was the first Pacific Associate Professor at Unitec and currently teaches in their Master of Applied Practice. He considers it a privilege to have taught hundreds of students, helping to build the next generation of “articulate and fearless contributors to society”, and centres his teaching on a holistic, learner-centred approach that values Pacific cultural knowledge as a competitive advantage. He has lectured at the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology and was a Senior Lecturer in the School of Sport and Recreation at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
